The most worldwide: the dream world of Françoise Huguier

La Plus Mythique Le Paris De La Belle Epoque Au Petit Palais

From black Africa to polar Siberia, from Parisian catwalks to community housing in Russia, the images captured all over the world by photographer Françoise Huguier have as common denominator setting forth women in unusual ways.

So don’t be surprised to see on the walls of Maison Européenne photographs of Colombian nuns, runway models, women from Mali and young gals from South Korean with assertive kawaii looks. Because this seasoned globe-trotter takes pictures without any preconceptions, thus unveiling her vision, sometimes fantasized, of a world without frontiers. Certainly a reminiscence of the kidnapping she went through in Cambodia with her brother on a colonization background when she was only 8 years old.

We adore: the room dedicated to South East Asia, a dive in the pop and off-beat culture of these girls with   manga doll allures and fashion series backstage and in the workshops during fashion week.
