The Basque institution of sweet treats is turning into a small frosty bomb this year: Basque cake ice cream. Created in close collaboration with master ice cream maker Philippe Faur, known for his natural ingredients, this new flavor is a faithful variation of the signature cake created by the family house, originally from Bayonne.
Almond cream, signature of the cult dessert, is made without adding milk nor cream, to obtain a super unctuous frozen base to which are added real chips of crispy dough.
We adore: the soft crunchy aspect of this gourmet treat, to be eaten in a little carton or as a cone.
