Meet Queen Elizabeth II
When she met the famous photographer Cecil Beaton in 1942, Elizabeth II was only sweet 16. On last 6 February, at 85 years old, she celebrated her diamond jubilee: 60 years of reign !
The exhibition “Queen Elizabeth II by Cecil Beaton: a diamond jubilee celebration” at the Victoria and Albert Museum of London offers un an occasion to discover a hundred photographs of the Queen taken by Cecil Beaton: from official ceremonies to more intimate moments of her life, here is Elizabeth II as you have never seen her !
One also goes to be indiscrete and discover the exchanger of letters and a few sketches between the sovereign and her photographer: slip backstage at Buckingham !!!
