The buzzing Indian canteen: café marcel
Rendez-vous on the most bobo-canal of the capital ! Here is the new fashion yet not expensive dress mode where the arty-fashion crowd hangs out! Dimmed lights, retro music, let’s go maestro.
A bobo decor with a colonial spirit just as we like it: from the stripped wall paneling to the real polished zinc, as well as the club armchairs in aged leather and the crystal style glasses, everything is polished down to the last details.
What do their serve? A cuisine that finds all its inspiration in light spices : a raita with its plain nan (7€), a delight! But also Punjabin salmon, marinated and grilled with coconut milk (14€), and mostly the Butter Chicken (13€), a real chef’s surprise! To finish, a farandole of desserts frankly more French than Indian.
The hot tip for chic twigs on a tight budget? Order an assortment of appetizers at16€ for two and a great cheese nan bread (3,50€) with a small cocktail.
