An Intimate Dinner on the First Floor
You arrive at a building in the Halles, walk down a suspicious looking corridor, up a narrow staircase to a door which gives onto a surprisingly intimate space.
The restaurant, First, reminds us of a NY City loft which has been transformed into an intimate, cosy restaurant. The lovely atmosphere is enhanced by the decor of leather club chairs and vintage chandeliers that are featured in an ultra-modern decor with a fresco by famous graffitti artist Lokiss. Eugen welcomes his clients as if he were receiving close friends.
A former manager in the world of show business he knows how to create an event in a simple, convivial, passionate atmosphere.
The delicious, copious French-style cooking of chef Michel Jourdan conveys the gourmet feeling to the ambiance. Here one rediscovers the simple pleasures in life. We adored the ample portion of marinated salmon and equally enjoyed the large gamba shrimp and crispy vegetable dish, the blood-orange salad and lime sorbet despite it being a bit acidic.
Dare to walk down this corridor and you will not be disappointed.
