Paris seen by Martin Parr in the Marais

Exposition Martin Parr

Our darling capital is unveiled  under an unusual angle through the lens of Martin Parr. A new face to discover urgently in the Marais at the Maison Européenne de la Photographie for a show that lasts just one month.

For two years, the city of lights was the artist’s muse. He had fun scrutinizing Parisians but also tourists, on the lookout for off-beat situations. From the Bastille Day parade in July on the Champs Elysées to Paris Plage, including fashion week and the Salon de l’Agriculture, there were a great many occasions to capture special moments.

The result? Funny images, kitsch, even caustic images captured by this famous photographer from the Magnum agency, critical approach.

The hot tip? The entrance of the museum is free on Wednesday from 5pm to 8pm.
