The stars of contemporary art at the Cartier Foundation

Les Stars De L Art Contemporain A La Fondation Cartier

When a couple celebrates 30 years of wedlock, it’s called a pearl anniversary. A solid relation between the cult jewelry house and artists since the creation of the Fondation Cartier pour l’Art Contemporain. Three decades during which the brand with the panther emblem has enabled budding talents to be showcased through special venues.

To mark the occasion, the superb space designed by Jean Nouvel is featuring spotlight pieces from the collection over the years. Commissions from names that have become prestigious such as David Lynch, Dennis Oppenheim, Raymond Depardon but also Patti Smith and Issey Miyake. And so that we can (re)discover as many works as possible, artists will follow each other over the months and leave the space for others.

We like: a very multi-faceted exhibition (painting, sculpture, photo, video, performances…) and in motion, that continues right into the garden of a bucolic stroll between greenery and works of art.

The must: the special pass that gives unlimited access to the exhibition so you won’t miss out on anything.

Mémoires Vives, until 21 September 2013, every day from 11am to 8pm, late night on Tuesday until 10pm.
