The new DIY hobby of Parisiennes!

Louis Antoinette Jupe Java 2

Making our own “Sandro or Maje Style” dresses, skirts, capes or one-piece suits in very DIY mode: such is the dream of all the hipster fashionistas…

Cool: this is exactly what the fashion label Louis Antoinette is offering. Their idea? Giving even sewing dummies the possibility of creating their very own trendy pieces at home and at super cool prices.

The idea? Ordering in keeping with your sewing level (from budding seamstress to high level couture). Your kit is delivered with everything you need (fabric, threads, pattern etc.) to create the model of your dreams. Our favorites? The really easy darling Rosalie skirt, an adorable very Carven couture collar or the really fun Tote Bag  “Je peux pas, j’ai couture” at 10€.

We adore: operating instructions in the lines of a super easy cooking recipe with the time it will take you, super tips, what you need at home (scissors) and lots of super practical advice that make it much easier and less dramatic.

Phew! If you don’t have a sewing machine and your Granny refuses to lend you hers, rush over to Brin de Cousette, the most trendy notions shop in the Marais where you can sew right there in front of a state-of-the-art machine while sipping a tea for 5€ and hour. All the info on Brin de Cousette here.
