Montmartre
From Abbesses to Lamarck Caulaincourt, a short escapade in the Montmartre of local Montmartrois. Far from the cliché tourist traps, our arty, fashion, gourmet and authentic itinerary as lived by the local intelligentsia of the Butte... A certain idea of the « Parisian hill» more in the vein of Rimbaud's Bateau Ivre than Amélie Poulain.

A café-croissant at café Francoeur
The idea ? Like a Montmartre version of the Flore , where the « arty » mademoiselles take a bobo pause, the people of Montmartre hang out there incognito and the silver screen students of La Fémis take their morning break.
A new little place « thought out as an old timer » (in the family of Café Charlot, Mabillon...) where one cultivates a typically Parisian authenticity: cute waiters, tartines and a zingy espresso , « pink pages » of the business Figaro, Elle and Vogue at the counter, amidst a very trendy laid back clientele.
Count 5-10 EUR

We have been to this bistro several times during our Paris honeymoon and plan to go back this August. Wonderful friendly bistro, dinner was really good - best escargot I have ever had and their chateaubriand is as soft as butter! Lunchis casual with great burgers. Red wine was great as was the brandy.I'd recommend for a casual meal out in a cosy bistro!Enjoy!
