11th north: Parmentier-Oberkampf
In the Northern part of the 11th arrondissement between rue du Faubourg du Temple and boulevard du Temple, there still exists an area of Paris which has remained quite down to earth-- not affected by the suddenly trendy onslaught that occurred in Oberkampf during the 90's. On the menu: cobblestoned passages not yet totally taken over by «lofts», discrete little second-hand shops and small intimate eateries.

La Cave du Daron
A small eating cellar open every day, ideally supplied by natural wines from friend's vineyards, but not only-it also happens to be very, dynamic when it comes to tasting- charcuteries and nibbles as well selected as their bottles.
