A new wildly couture hotel bar

Decoration of the terrace of the bar La Maison Champs Elysee

La Maison des Champs Elysées, you know it’s this incredible hotel near the avenue Montaigne, labeled and decorated by Martin Margiela. Needless to say that since the opening only one week ago of his « blind bar », where all the bottles are decked out in black, no logo on it, the fashion troops have put themselves into a frenzy.

We like: the sensation of a « home sweet home » with an atmosphere that has nothing to envy of New Yorker ambiances.

Manning the bar inlaid with a fireplace, a very pleasant mixologist puts on his arty-gourmet show.

Why do we adore it? Because he uses floral water infusions more than liquors, and it’s not as sweet, less caloric, less heady.

Our favorite? La Demoiselle Cognac with its fresh cucumber, ginger ale and sorrel flower water… Summum of freshness and refinement.

To be tasted urgently: The Glen me More, a cocktail flambé under your very eyes, a little wink to the roaring fire. As good as a dessert: an exotic mixture of fresh pear with maple syrup infused with cardamom and flamed with whisky. Yummy.

The very good news: when a 5 star house offers chic bistrot prices choses to apply Happy Hour prices on Saturday evening, we say Yes !

Bar open Monday to Saturday form 11am to 01am.
