A multi-faceted pastry: Cakes and bread

Des Gateaux Et Du Pain

« It’s a cake museum», cries out with glee an American in front of this superb shimmering pastry display. Claire Damon (ex Fauchon when Pierre Hermé was there, Ladurée, Bristol, Plaza Athénée) drew her inspiration from a contemporary art exhibition to imagine this upscale setting dedicated to David Granger’s cakes and breads.

But in this case, the works  on display have not been produced to be simply admired… Fab pink grapefruit cheesecake (6,50€), spicy baba (6€), ultra tasty creations with amazing textures. Special kudos for the lemon pie with olive oil and its hidden meringue surprise (5,80€). And lipstick, a fruity signature tart that changes color each season—right now, orange blossom coffee (6,30€).

And the bread? Old fashioned loaves with thick golden crusts (country bread with natural yeast; rye; curcuma, raisin, nut; focaccia…), as well as brioches, kouglofs, croissants, XXL pains au chocolat

Open Monday to Saturday from de 10am to 8pm except on Tuesday. Saturday from 10am to 6pm.
