Extend your holidays at La Baule-les Pins, the owner of the eponymous café (kings of beef tartares and carpaccio) has just opened near Odéon with a chic and trendy dining room that appeals to the « golden 30-year-old set».
From the street, no trendy sign at first! Upstairs a decor with an atmosphere inspired by the Empire and Directoire styles featuring an Hermès orange chesterfield banquette and chandeliers with pendants…
Downstairs in a real cellar (where the Universal Declaration of Human Rights was signed by Robespierre himself!) adjoining the Petit Salon Français, an incredible venue reserved for birthdays and private parties.
In charge of cooking, an old hand of mundane foods, who orchestrated for more than 10 years the plates of Hotel Costes. Needless to say that the home fries, the revisited egg-mayonnaise (amazing!) and the cheesecake, are all tops. But the house specialty is the carpaccio with many sauces (2 servings for big appetites…)
We are impatiently waiting their evenings that start on Thursday when Parisian dandies come sip their cocktails et and party. To be followed.
