Cold spells are around the corner and we are going to need lots of proteins ! Right across from his eponymous gastronomical restaurant, a skip and a hop from the Arc de Triomphe, Akrame, the super trendy star chef who worked with Ferran Adria and Pierre Gagnaire, has opened Atelier Vivanda.

Here is the ideal place for pretty meat lovers at lunch time or to spend a one-on-one romantic evening with their of the moment. Careful, they only sit 25, so it’s better to reserve, especially  at the incredible price of 35 euros all included? Amazing meat: ham of Holstein beef, Black Angus rumsteak, free range yellow fowl, Challandais duck, all served with a wide choice of potatoes: deep dish gratin Dauphinois, broiled or mashed potatoes.

Seasonal dessert, for us it was crème brûlée and tarte aux coings, but we also noticed the amazing chocolate profiteroles of the neighbor.

Its heart asset: the amazing smoked entrecote, finely sliced manually with a Berkel, served as an appetizer on a thick sheet of gingham checked paper.

We love: the wonderful welcome of the staff wearing Basque leather aprons, the wood butcher block equipped with well-sharpened knives, the open kitchen where handsome hunks prepare in front of you a meat that is quite simply perfect and that includes their famous hamburger, the Croqavor.

The must? Sitting at the bar and watch the young cooks in full action, wearing the traditional cap of yesteryear butchers.

Tops: seasoning your meat with the house olive oil whose peppery fragrance perfectly enhances your dish.
