Le Dôme du Marais : the new hip address in the Marais
Fashion alert! Does Dôme du Marais mean anything ? Of course! Because this mythical place in Paris, the former Mont de Piété pawn shop inaugurated in 1777, features a Grand Century setting with its Eiffel sky light.
What is less well-known, is that the team from the Mauvais Garçons has taken over this historic establishment, that had gone by the wayside and has been transformed into a trendy dining room!
Here, everything has changed. Camille picked up some Louis XVI armchairs and exotic plants to give some life to the classy and historic dome !
The must ? He has transformed the winter garden, bathed in light, into a real cabinet of curiosities mixing nicnacks and contemporary photos. The idea: having dinner with your pals, comfortably settled on incredible Ottoman settees under the beady eyes of two chirpy finch in their fab bird cages.
In the kitchen, everything is also spiffy, a chef with panache, goes out of his way to please gourmet fashionistas and dandies of the Marais. To be tested absolutely: raviolis of blue lobster from the Atlantic coasts in a foam of bourbon, rear tartare of Aubrac beef with an Asian touch and their famous Paris-Brest cake.
We love… the idea of a very trendy totally vintage setting in keeping with the times.
