The Montmartre Cake Kiosque
This is the kind of Xmas outing we like. A gourmet take on Parisian cobble stones. Piaf is not very far and Picasso would be licking his chops at the famous Bateau Lavoir artist workshop.
How about if we started promising you a little kiosque for snacks, « so picturesque », totally retro style at the foot of the Montmartre hilltop… where one can bite into authentic traditional cookies made with caramel and fleur de sel salt, pralines and nuts, before dipping them in a hot chocolate prepared in the old-fashioned way that warms the heart and hands…
We like… this stroll through Paris when you are lacking ideas for an outing with the kids, taking around the out-of-town cousin, looking for a lover’s escapade …
Why not ride up on the funicular or walk through the vineyards of Montmartre before making a delicious pit stop with a direct view on Sacré Cœur.
For the small anecdote… Michou, legendary showbiz figure of the area, has made it his hangout. Result ? He’s won a little treat in his image: an ice cream with light and creamy yogurt, sprinkled with M&M’s, … Michou blue. Already cult!
