An address in the far reaches of Belleville that was kept undercover for a long time before becoming a quasi institution. In her pocket-sized gourmet bistrot, Rachel Carena has been serving for 25 years a produce-oriented cuisine. While her fans are nostalgic about her braised beef cheek, obviously the menu changes in keeping with the market. Precision and no frills are at the heart of her dishes, sometimes surprisingly simple. Quite similar to the welcome, direct and good natured... A terrific wine list with natural vintages.
