It's the most popular eating place of the moment, since its opening in January, a favorite hangout of actress Carole Bouquet who comes as a neighbor. It's all the more likeable since it happens to be across from the Picasso Museum (sharing its celadon green shutters), at the heart of a district with rather few good bistrots.
The eating space is very attractive (high communal tables, painted bricks, an open kitchen where one can watch the chef in action) and totally ethical (organic paint, French oak, napkins in recycled paper), the products are amazing (smoked white tuna from L'Ile d'Yeu, meats and cheese from Salers), and the cooking is simple, without pretense, just like the deserts (yogurt and cookies, custard tart, lemon pie, rice pudding).
The extra touch? A terrific wine list, divided into tasty regional wines, friends' vineyards and wines of exception. The latter, with famous labels, are also offered by the glass, a very rare occurrence in a bistrot !
Around 35EUR in the evening (more of course if one chooses an outstanding wine),
17EUR lunch on formula.
(From noon to 2pm and 7pm to 11:30pm. Closed on Tuesday)
