An electric wave
Lighting is very important, especially if you are going to lounge about all weekend and not do much.
The secret of pleasant lighting? Install, at least in the living room, a variable dimmer (about 20 EUR) that enables you to modulate the lighting at your fancy. The most simple is to install a dimmer instead of the electric switch.
Beforehand: verify if the switch is unipolar (2 points of connection) or bipolar (4 points of connection). Because then it is necessary to have a dimmer that features respectively 2 o 4 connections.
Next on the agenda, getting off the couch and over to the BHV, there one checks the minimal and maximal powers of the dimmer (expressed in watts). These powers must correspond to the lamp(s) whose intensity you wish to modulate on. If the dimmer power is too low, it will make a constant and very unpleasant noise, while a surcharge of power will blow the fuse box!
Of course, never buy anything without asking for the expert advice of Monsieur Electricité at the BHV department store--the most amazing giant hardware assortment.
Back home, the only equipment that you will be needing: a screwdriver and a small pair of pliers. For the rest, read and reread, before starting any work:
