A venerable Roman house, Gammarelli has been supplying the Vatican since 1790 in ecclesiastic cassocks and... high socks in superb Scottish thread (bare calves, is certainly not done!), in obviously cardinal hues: red, violet and black. Now you can also have the same legs as the pope: pontifical socks are sold on line. Also available in merinos wool.
