An area, two proposals !
Caffè dei Cioppi, pocket handkerchief eatery, with a nice modern allure (wood + black metal noir, a slightly Nordic look) with tasty and simple plates (pumpkin risotto, spaghetti alla Vongole, very good mozza etc.), super popular so better reserve early.
Rino, a brand new place, also very streamlined, white and red this time, with Giovanni Passerini at the oven, formerly at the nearby La Gazzetta.
He is Italian but his cuisine does not really reflect his origins, in any case the evening when we were there. We had been told about a barley risotto with citrus fruit and squid but what we saw pass by was mostly mackerel cooked slowly, just like the veal with crunchy vegetables, calf head small raviolis and a panais vegetable broth topped by a dabolical financier cake served with an milk ice and a soup of citrus fruit In the evening, two appetizers, main course and dessert : 38 EUR
