My Organic Address : Guen Maï
The Guen Mai restaurant, on rue de l'Abbaye, is just behind the Saint-Germain church, it's got an artsy-craftsy style-- both clear and wonderfully old fashioned-- one encounters flower power stars that bring to mind a bygone era, such as Dominique Sanda, Jane Birkin, old American and Russian countesses. It's one of the rare places in Paris where one can have lunch alone peacefully. All their dishes, vegetables pancakes, cooked veggies are the reverse of dull. It's divinely perfumed and one comes out of the place feeling as though the world is worth it. It's so easy to digest that one is quickly hungry again, but such is life! And then there is the grocery store area where I personally break the bank by buying incredible items such as sisal plants, cereal coffee, in short nothing but ingredients that result in no one wanting to stop over and have coffee at my place!
