In the back of a courtyard of another courtyard, in a very bucolic ambiance between a recently planted camelia and a birch-wood tree , is nestled the workshop of artist Emmanuelle Piquart. Sculptor and ceramist since more than 10 years, she works one head a day. She works by repetition, her « Crapouilles » collection showcases a great number of small little earthen heads: happy loonies, off-the wall and sometimes anxious types. The artist now is presenting pieces that are the contrary of the Crapouilles: a 200% face ! The subject becomes obvious: soul searching.
