Polka! The gallery has just left the 11th arrondissement to come settle in the Marais. There are many incredible spaces in Paris, dedicated to art, but Polka really combines what I prefer in terms of photography: the depth of the photo-reporters obviously, since the gallery is the extension of a magazine dedicated to photojournalism, but it also presents beautiful portraits, some of which are even affordable and aesthetic jewels. Many of the artists have made names for themselves in that genre (Elliot Erwitt, Stanley Greene...) along with younger ones on show here. With them even a fashion photo is treated like a reportage! It's the gallery I would have liked to create ... but Genestar (the former editor in chief of Paris Match) had a good head start!
