Encré sets up its arty embroidery in the Marais

Encre

Embroidery has long ceased to be the plan-plan hobby of the aristocrats at Downton Abbey . Great designers like the coolest young labels have taken this old-world craftsmanship to make it an ultra-trendy fashion statement.

In a former artist's studio, at the bottom of these little courtyards with a crazy soul that dot the Marais , the Lyon brand Encré has just installed its t-shirts, hoodies and socks embroidered with messages that are sometimes arty, sometimes ass, always cute.

Inked, that esaco?

Charlie Faron would have dreamed of being a tattoo artist, but his hand - unstable - prevented him from doing so. So, in 2017, he imagines his creation house Inked around the embroidery that we would wear like a message engraved on his body. Everything is made and embroidered in Lyon in its city of origin on bases of black and white clothing to bring out the superb colors and the work of the embroiderers.

Unisex, the collections do not hesitate to grab attention with funny naughty messages ( Go vegan Eat pussy ; Small tits Big dreams and other “ Third Dose ” or “ Barrier gestures ” embellished with very kamasutra designs) but also embroidery colorful and poetic drawn by Charlie himself or even in collaboration with star tattoo artist Toto le Voyou .

To grab: t-shirts (€ 50), caps (€ 40), hoodies (€ 150), bananas (€ 35), jackets (€ 180), sweatshirts (€ 90), turtlenecks with message on the neck (80 €) and socks (€ 20) ... but not only.

The nice decoration selection

If in the store, for the moment, we only find pretty little paintings in embroidered fabric (€ 80), we are happy to venture into the eshop to discover the embroidered or hand-painted cushions (€ 50) and rugs that are too beautiful. (€ 690), so as not to have the same interior as everyone. To be continued soon: ceramics .

Open Tuesday to Saturday 11 am-7pm, Monday from 2pm.
