Monbleu: the new eat-in cellar of the Marais

Apero Monbleu

We already adored being given advice on the best camemberts, Mont d’Or and goudas with truffle in this cheese shop/ table near the Grands Boulevards. Buoyed by its success, Monbleu inaugurates a new eat-in cellar in the Marais, right across from the Carreau du Temple.

In this very pleasant wine and cheese bar, decorated like a country house where one feels well, there is no room for dieting. You are served hearty ramekins of baked reblochon with coquillettes pasta (€9), a truffled ham and cheese croque monsieur (€13), a delicious gravlax sandwich (€15) and a must-try pâté en croûte (€8).

Feel-good wines

For all those who enjoy organic or natural wines, this is the ideal spot. Because a good cheese must be savoured with a nice glass of wine (French proverb), allow yourself to be guided amongst the 150 à la carte wines: a tasty Côte du Rhône Cairanne ( €37 per bottle), a Bourgogne Épineuil ( €36) and even a Spritz “à la Savoyarde” that is truly a wonder (€8).

Open every day from noon to midnight. Without reservations.

Also discover the the new temples of food and Frenchie Pigalle, the most sytlish table of the upcoming Fall season.
