Dive in the first Nordic bath in Paris

Piscine Butte Aux Cailles

An atmosphere with negative temperatures. A boiling bath under the stars. A cloud of smoke. It’s quite easy to imagine yourself enjoying warm steamy water in the middle of pine trees in Finland… Well, you don’t have to go all the way to Laponia in order to enjoy this kind of healthy experience. Your Navigo pass is enough.

The most beautiful pool in Paris—aka Butte aux Cailles—has set up the first Nordic bath of the capital since its renovation… And it’s definitely worth the detour. Now you can swim laps in the outdoors 25 meters basin heated at 28°C right in the middle of an Art Deco gem, classified historical monument (you enter from the inside, of course). In short: an experience that is really uplifting offering the promise for a highly unusual winter sports session to have the dream body of Nordic mermaids. Cherry on the cake, swim laps for a for real change of scenery.

We like: a highly recommended “slow life” and feel-good practice in case of stress or sleeping disorders. One kilometre in the pool, a soup and in bed. This will ensure you a glowing complexion the next day. And it also works for hyper-active kids.

Nordic baths open everyday except monday, thursday and friday. Entrance: 3€.
