“Exhibitionism”: The Rolling Stones Take Over the Saatchi Gallery

Rolling Stones Black White

Will the Rolling Stones ever quit? Fortunately, we don’t have to wait for the 50-year-old group to split up before seeing these bad boys on the walls of a museum. The Stones, legendary 60’s rebels, opened the doors of their personal archives for the temple of contemporary art, the Saatchi Gallery. The result is 550 furiously rock-n-roll objects, spread over 1750 square meters of the museum!

Art and design objects, mythic costumes, but also personal correspondence and never-seen videos revealed to the public; the expo is designed as a totally immersive experience, fulfilling everyone from aging 60’s rockers to fashionistas that revere swinging London.

Three good reasons to go: because the Stones are considered the biggest rock group of all time, to boast that you are no stranger to English rock, and because it is the biggest exhibition ever dedicated to a group.

And after 400 million albums sold, a singer knighted by the Queen, and collaborations with artists such as Warhol, Shepard Fairey and McQueen, it seems that these 70-somethings have not yet found total satisfaction. The expo, like their tour, is forecasted to go global.

We are telling you, it’s the must-see exhibit of the year.
