Needless to say that pétanque is the latest snobbism and the national sport of trendies and hipsters.
It just happens that the über chic playing field where all the Parisiennes in high heels like to meet up is right in the middle of this pedestrian and ultra-confidential place on the Ile de la Cité.
Way to go: arrive with your bottle of rosé, a saucisson and everything you like for happy hour, to be placed on an old-fashioned bench and enjoy the charm of Provence in Parisian fashion.
The other option? Sip a nice glass of white wine or rosé (4€) at the marvelous Bar du Caveau for a moment “just like in Provence” on the terrace.
