The Sprezzatura: the trendiest spot in the Marais

Sprezzatura

It was right there under your nose in the hippest street of the Marais and yet, you had not noticed anything. Normal, this “low profile” coffee-shop is hidden inside the The Sprezzatura concept-store, kind of a miniature Colette opened last Summer across from the legendary chocolatier Jacques Genin. Now, no more excuses : you have been told.

A fashionista fave, this place, as cool as it is trendy, attracts all the top fashion editors and international socialites during each fashion week. In their boutique, the selection is very upscale, featuring avant-garde independent labels, mostly foreign and found nowhere else in France (Être Cécile, Bella Freud, A.W.A.K.E, Wanda Nylon). Furiously trendy yes, but not snotty at all. Nobody will give you a dark look if you only come for coffee…

First of all, beans are roasted by Coutume, the official supplier of the best coffee in the capital. Number two, you can leaf through the complementary fashion magazines: Love, Dazed, the Gentlewoman, and even Mastermind, the brand new publication launched by Marie-Amélie Sauvé, muse and right arm of Nicolas Ghesquière. Glossies to read at leisure around a good cappuccino (4,50€), a matcha latte or a freshly squeezed juice by Juice Lab (4,90€). To be tasted also, their no gluten tarts and amazing cookies.

We like: the ultimate trendy side, right down to Bella Freud perfumed candles (55 €) including über stylish Sheriff&Cherry sunglasses (190€)
