« Fruit Fiction » will be the summer motto of FAUCHON where a cosmic and vitamin filled wind is blowing across its summer collection from 8 July to 3 September.
It’s the moment to make a beeline for La Madeleine for « it-eats » that we are going to adore. Cherry on the cake: all the DO IT GIRLS who come to FAUCHON will be offered a little treat if they stop by the cashier’s and ask for their gourmet gift with the password « doitinparis » !*
Our catering heart throb? A really amazing flying tart, like a vertical vegetable garden. Imagine a shortcrust tart with a layer of lemon mascarpone cream and covered with a fruit and veggies: red endive rouge, cherry tomatoes, green granny smith apples and Red Chard, a few turnips, mango, flowers, radishes. (14€). The favorite dish of chic twigs.
The ultimate de chic of happy hour? Salty explosive éclairs, divinely fresh and totally off-beat: mango-salmon or crab apple (8€).
All those with a girly sweet tooth will go wild with « constellations », airy pop-cakes that look like flying saucers. Our darling fragrances? « Cherry-pistachio » or « peach-white chocolate». Addictive. (10€) to pick up at the pastry counter.
Now just make your way to L’Epicerie Fine to find other really amazing food accessories. Our favorite? The apricot and lemon « big bang macaroon », hallucinating and totally solar (26€ for a box of 12 macaroons) or their troubleshooting black current-violet « galactic jelly » , ideal to give a chic touch to a or a yogurt.
