Barbie: a photo exhibition in Paris for her 60th birthday

Expo Barbie

60-years-old and not a single wrinkle. “Life in plastic, it’s fantastic,” don’t you agree? For her birthday, the iconic model poses for photographer Michel Trehet. The results: sixty ultra slick shots of Barbie in black and white, showcased at the Isabelle Laverny Gallery until the 15th of June.

Barbie at the Bon Marché, Barbie at the Palais Royal, Barbie at the Palais de Tokyo, the Bains Douches and even the Oscars. The French photographer, native of Le Havre, took his muse to legendary spots— immediately recognizable!

Speaking of clothes, the sexy 60-year-old is presented in super chic outfits designed for her by leading couture houses (Dior, Chanel, Givenchy). Even better, on certain photos, she literally steps in the shoes of Grace Kelly, Audrey Hepburn and Karl Lagerfeld.

Who said adult couldn’t play with Barbie?

Exhibition Barbie’s Birthday, from the 16th of  May to the 15th of June 2019. Open Tuesday to Friday from noon to 7:15pm, Saturday from 10:30am to 1pm and from 2:30pm to 7pm. Free entrance.
