Hurray for the Prix de la Closerie !

Prix Closerie Des Lilas

We have good news for glam intellectuals! For its tenth edition, the most chic literary prize this spring was awarded on April the 19th to Oriane Jeancourt Galignani  for her novel roman Hadamar, published by Grasset.

For neophytes, know that the Closerie des Lilas award is no other than the kid sister of the Prix de Flore (invented by Frédéric Beigbeder himself) and crowns each year a French speaking woman writer. Or how to put the spotlight on women’s literature …

Imagine an eclectic jury from Claude Lelouch to Orlan including Benjamin Biolay, Emmanuelle Devos and Claire Chazal… In other words the upscale brainy-chic crowd has ganged up to party and sip glasses of champagne at the heart of one of the most literary evenings this spring …

So be sure to go out and buy the novel of the brilliant Oriane Jeancourt Galignani to shine at dinner parties ….

The pitch? A very moving inquiry led by a father, former Nazi prisoner, who wants to finds his son after the fall of Third Reich.

Hadamar, published by Editions Grasset, 19€.
