Once you step in the door, you are in front of a window display filled with appetizing and colorful dishes that boos the moral and titillate taste buds. Just like in the real trattorias from the southern part of Italy, Francesco offers his Med specialties to go or sample at the small counter.
Now that nice weather seems to be settling in, we make a beeline for the antipasti (3,20 €/100g) platter of dried tomatoes, grilled eggplant and zucchine, peppers stuffed with tuna. Special kudos for the tasty creamy Mozzarella di Buffala, delivered directly from Naples.
Pasta aldente of course, presented in large plates that change with the seasons. So take your pick between the lasagna (9 €), pasta with veggies, salmon, pesto or vongole, the Neapolitan specialty with yummy clams (count 4 to 7,50 €). Impossible to resist the dome shaped risotto with saffron, asparagus (9 €) and truffles (10 €), the best!
We like: light little dishes, ideal for twigs, like the grilled salmon, the grilled chicken thigh perfumed with rosemary of the famous Milanese veal (10 €), that comes with a portion of house mashed potatoes, steamed veggies or baked potato.
For dessert, a wonderful panna cotta with red fruit (3,50 €) and chiacchiere, crispy fritters sprinkled with sugar (3,20 €/100g) totally addictive.
