Between the rue des Vinaigriers, the latest spot for some nice quick eats, where you can sip, where you can chat, is a very upscale terrace, Mem’s.
Quite close to Chez Prune, here is the terrace where the bobo-foodista locals of this very « cool » district will be hanging out this Summer.
Here is the kind of menu we like, simple and filled with good products, slightly shaken up with trendy attitude: nachos with cheddar (6,5€), sardines with oil on toast (7€), radishes and butter (6,5€), an Italian plate with buffala, parma ham, parmesan and small veggies (13,5€). To be noted also: the naughty burger (15€), the killer hot-dog (7,5€).
Special kudos to fresh farmer cheese with truffle olive oil, straight from La Crèmerie, a great cheese shop just around the corner (7,5€) and a die and go to heaven Banoffe, (7€).
Tops also : the real cocktail menu at small prices (9,5€), a nice alternative to the perennial glass of champagne (8,5€). Our darling? The Oriental, au sake, liqueur de Litchi and little wood strawberries.
Ideal on a rainy day : the really fab interior decor, imagined by designer Laura Gonzalès, who gives a genius twist to wall paper, bistro chairs, art deco lighting fixtures…
