L’Oiseau Blanc, rooftop in sight!

L Oiseau Blanc Roof Top En Vue Principale

We have said it over and over, the opening of the Peninsula in Paris, the new Parisian palace on avenue Kléber, is the most highly awaited, mundane and scrutinized event of the new season.

Like a cherry on the cake, to lord even better over its elegant square meters of luxury and splendor, the real jewel of the hotel - a restaurant- is perched on the last floor and is sure to overwhelm Parisiennes.

This dining room and its magical terrace go way beyond the simple buzz of the new season. « L’Oiseau Blanc » is a restaurant that has all the heart assets to become a star table in the city of lights.

The recipe of this small paradise? First a stunning view and decor, with as bonus for sunny days, a roof-top as we expect them, chic, refined, romantic, allowing you to enjoy a tête-à-tête dinner with the Eiffel Tower, Montmartre and consorts.

To crown it all, here is high flying chef, Jean-Edern Hurstel (spotted on Top Chef) who concocts a cuisine with sophisticated overtones but not overwhelming.

Imagine perfectly cooked buttery crayfish, peach, avocado and Paris mushrooms ( 26€). Absolutely marvelous and addictive: a hunch of tender veal with glazed lemon, lemon, sweet potato, fennel (40€). Finish on a high note, very couture desserts such as a poached pineapple with jasmine tea of a fab rum baba (18€). Special kudos for the sweet treats they bring out with the bill.

We adore: the terrific luncheon menu with starter + dish + dessert for 55€. An ideal solution to enjoy this fairy tale venue without going broke.

Careful: reserve quickly. All of Paris is chomping at the bit to get a table! Small tip? Come enjoy a drink outside of meal hours…

Open from monday until sunday
