Scene of the Crime? Historic Palais Brongniart, the former stock exchange on place de la Bourse. After launching his first bistro cantina at Mutualité which we already talked about , handsome Alléno is back with his really clever concept of Terroir Parisien, a certain idea of the local earthy gourmet. His credo? Parisian eats and the very best Made in Paris products, nuggets uncovered all around the Ile de France region, ... In other words cult dishes with a definite Paris touch in the spirit of the former Les Halles market district, a tad on the naughty side, and all wrapped up with a chic sauce.
In our preview testing we were delighted to discover Paris mushrooms, from Spinelli, the king of Ile de France products, with flower of salt seasoning,. Our neighbors were ecstatic. And for the main dish, endives with ham, grated in the oven with cheese and a béchamelle sauce, everything you always dreamed of at the school cafeteria.
There was also a nice piece of meat with a Pepper sauce and hand cut fries that deserve top kudos
