Two men wearing morning suits, holding bouquets in their hand, in front of a high wedding cake with a shocking pink background to launch the debate on the gay wedding...
This illustration, which made the cover of the famous New-Yorker, sparked many reactions when it was published in 1994.
Going through the show, one rediscovers all the drawings that were on the cover of the daring weekly publications launched in 1925. Funny, critical, sarcastic, his news- pegged illustrations covering the Monica Lewinsky affair just as well as the Marathon of New-York, or Bush.
We also like: the book on the exhibition featuring the censored drawings, never published and even more scandalous !
