No need to travel thousands of miles to taste the best Cantonese specialties. The tea salon of Maison de la Chine, nestled in the heart of Saint-Germain-des-Prés, serves the famous dim-sums from Yoom, the chic Asian cantina on rue des Martyrs.
Beef, chicken or vegetables, delicious dim-sums come in a variety of flavors that change regularly, so as to keep titillating the taste buds of foodistas looking for a light but gourmet treat.
We like : the menu including a salad, 6 dim-sum (to pick from several recipes), a rice with vegetables or a seaweed soup with dashi broth to be served with diced up tofu (15,90 €), for a complete meal at a friendly price.
The plus : the very aesthetic and fashion photo show of Quentin Shih. The Chinese artist immortalized mannequins in Dior dresses from the 70/80s inside giant ice cubes surrounded by Chinese soldiers, the contrast is quite disconcerting.
