Rather than use a ton of foundation, it is preferable to apply thin layers of products that will increase the corrective, embellishing and treatment effects. Choosing and applying a targeted primer (pore reducer/illuminator/anti-age) then an adapted foundation (covering / sheer / mat..).
Powder is also important. A cloud of colorless powder matifies without making the complexion heavy.
Finally, for a freshness booster, don’t forget a small touch of blush and modeling that will revive your complexion.
For the application, I suggest a foundation brush that provides a homogenous and regular finish that in addition stimulates micro-circulation.
