The cult rendezvous of Parisiennes

It’s the rendezvous to have tested at least once in a lifetime. In the lines of the Grand Prix de Monaco or Roland Garros, the Prix de Diane Longines is the most chic horse racing venue of Europe! Since 1843, the happy few and it girls from around the world prance at the heart of this incredible race that also happens to be a stylish event for socialites.

Just imagine the aesthetic of the film Marie-Antoinette by Sofia Coppola, literally transported at the foot of the château de Chantilly. Starting with the amazing outfits of the participants. Hats are mandatory when attending the cocktails, concerts and races of courses of thoroughbred fillies, in a chic garden party spirit. A must.

A stylish concert

For the last editions, Brigitte and Synapson warmed up the audience and created a totally chill atmosphere, during an outdoor show in the lines of Calvi on The Rocks or the More Festival.

To ensure the ambiance of this super elegant day and convey truly festive allure to the races, this year the musical programme was entrusted to… Naive New Beaters, the ultra cool group that will be on deck for the opening concert. Their mission? To electrify Parisiennes with beats from their latest album featuring pop and disco sounds. Everything we love.

Free concert at the Village de Diane starting a 12:30pm.

A deluxe picnic

Installed on the Village de Diane lawns, the picnic becomes a fashionable lifestyle. A picnic on the grass turns out to be a furiously elegant parenthesis right up there with the “lunches” of English socialites at Ascot.

Option 1. Book in advance the very chic picnic signed Fauchon, presented in a splendid hat box filled with crunchy veggies, club sandwiches, beverages, vegetable chips, cheese and pastry (€35).

Option 2. Partake in the We Are Horse Racing venue, the most chill spot of the event. On the programme: palm trees, deck chairs, pool in trompe l’œil, happy hour and an initiation to betting. Total bliss (€30).

Hats galore

It’s the big fashion event of the season! Crowns of flowers, playful barrettes, glitzy head jewellery, Panamas, boaters or sun hats are on parade… Just choose the most sensational and stylish headdress. And with cause: since its creation, the Prix de Diane, aside from its mythical races, is the must-go rendezvous of fashonistas. In the past, leading couturiers even organised fashions shows. Version 2018, the dress code is just as exacting!

So whip out your boho dresses, pants with flowers and wedge heels in order to tread across the lawn with distinction. Without forgetting the famous contest of elegance for the title of Mademoiselle Diane by Longines. The best dressed gal will win a fabulous Longines watch! Photo shoot on the catwalk of the Hippodrome racetrack, located in the Village de Diane from 11am to 1:30pm
