Mimosa unveils Jean-François Piège's Mediterranean brunch

Who has never indulged in Mimosa's lobster fries ? Emperor of modern brasserie (At l'Épi d'Or, La Poule au Pot), devoted to French terroir and obsessed with quality ingredients, Jean-François Piège brilliantly ventures into seaside cuisine with evident mastery of products. A major novelty, his already cult table at Hôtel de la Marine has just launched its brunch, an absolute must-book.

A Wow Decor by Dorothée Delaye

The mimosa decor from Dorothée Delaye

At the helm of this grandiose decor, Dorothée Delaye (whose favorite decor picks we've gathered here) played with nautical codes (ceiling resembling a boat hull, pieces in shiny mahogany reminiscent of Riva, propeller suspensions, aged mirrors...) without neglecting comfort and elegance in the upscale neighborhood. Special mention for the fish-themed Datcha tableware, handmade sconces, the large fresco by Justine Rossetti like an open window to the Mediterranean, or the big blue armchairs by the bar, where the signature cocktail, obviously, the mimosa, is prepared.

Marine Brunch

The brunch buffet menu

It's a bit like being allowed to taste the entire Mimosa menu, and then some... in one meal for €85 (€35 for under 12s joyfully galloping on the carpet). First on the table are the essential pastries, already filling the belly, accompanied by unlimited hot drinks and orange juice. Then, help yourself from the buffet to southern specialties that instantly transport you on vacation : pissaladière, deviled eggs, salads of all kinds (yum, chickpeas with bottarga and octopus with confit garlic), hake aioli, anchovy dip with garden vegetables, whelks with mayo, langoustines... Followed by a choice of main course (still themed) : tomato pasta, pan burger, soft-boiled egg with antiboise sauce or scrambled eggs with black truffles.

At the bar, dessert plates are emptied and replaced at lightning speed. It must be said that there is a beautiful array, including bergamot egg custard, tiramisu-style crepe cake, lemon tart (from Menton, of course), chocolate mousse with olive oil... Not announced on the menu but definitely present : praline puffs, French toast, strawberry tart, babas, and a lovely fruit salad for freshness. Phew ! Digest it all during a stroll in the garden along the Champs-Élysées, while planning your next seaside vacation.

Brunch served every Sunday from 11:30 am to 4 pm. Reservations recommended.
