An outing and a nice lunch at the Louis Vuitton Foundation

Fondation Louis Vuitton

We were on pins and needles for a long time… The Louis Vuitton Fondation with its museum dedicated to Contemporary Art which Bernard Arnault (a great art collector and patron) has finally opened its doors a few steps from the Les Sablons métro in Neuilly…

Amidst the trees, this art flagship was designed by the greatest architect in the world aka Frank Gehry (The Guggenheim in Bilbao , that’s him, the MIT in Cambridge, him also) appears like a vessel that has landed on the Bois de Boulogne.

Cool: an amazing place to discover even if Contemporary Art is not your thing. The building itself is an architectural gem, the views of Paris are absolutely hallucinating. More than a museum, it’s a historical monument of our time in Paris. TO SEE ABSOLUTELY

Tip top: stopping for a gourmet pause at The Frank, the incredible restaurant inside. Options: a great lunch or a snack at tea time with pastries (ultra-sexy lemon pie or the ham truffle baguette ) …

Small tip: to avoid the (long) queue, buy your tickets on line ahead of time

Open every day from 10am to 8pm
