The Jacques Demy exhibition

3 1

Colorful pop images, Catherine Deneuve and Anouk Aimée as muses, sung love stories, one-liners that rhyme… Jacques Demy blew a new wind on the movie world and art in general.

The French cinematheque pays homage to the brilliant film director and his works such as Lola, The Umbrellas of Cherbourg or Les Demoiselles de Rochefort. The chronology of this exhibition unveils the creations of this total artist: his first documentaries, his shorts, his photos and his 18 films of course, through interviews or the famous Donkey Skin dresses.

And also : the entire movie retrospective, histoire, so you can watch or rewatch his cult films.

The must : taste the Donkey skin love cake made by Maison Dalloyau from a recipe sung by Catherine Deneuve in the film: « a touch of Bourbon vanilla, a note of apples and few gold sequins». As in the legend, a porcelain ring is hidden inside!
