Birkenstock's First Store Just Opened in Paris

The Birkenstock shop in Paris

Even though summer vacations are coming to an end (or are already a distant memory), the sun is still shining brightly over Paris, promising a delightful season ahead. To keep the summer vibes alive, head to the Marais and check out Birkenstock's very first Parisian store, where their iconic models, previously only available in multi-brand stores, are now exclusively showcased. It’s no wonder their opening night attracted the crème de la crème of the fashion world! Naturally, we had to drop by.

The Most Fashionable Sandals in Paris

Birkenstock sandals

The most stylish sandals in Paris In just a few years, Birkenstocks have evolved in the collective imagination from comfy orthopedic shoes to an absolute must-have, worthy of collecting in every color (thanks to couture collaborations with Manolo Blahnik, Dior, and Jil Sander). The German brand has now opened a stunning store just steps from the Hôtel de Ville. The store's interior features wood, leather, and stone, and offers all the brand’s best-sellers, including the Arizona and Madrid sandals as well as the Boston clogs, all available in a plethora of highly desirable combinations in both small and large sizes. Our favorite? The pastel patent leather shoes, perfect for highlighting sun-kissed feet and a flawless pedicure (€150).

But fashion adventurers can also try out bold new releases, reinterpreting the signature cork sole with styles inspired by espadrilles, boat shoes, derbies, or sneakers, perfect for transitioning into mid-season. Must-tries include the natural leather St Barts (€220), the suede Uppsala Mid (€170), the Milano Shearling with lamb fur (€160), or the new Tokio clog with a back strap (€160). It's the art of combining foot-friendly craftsmanship with absolute style.

Open Monday to Saturday from 10:30 AM to 7:30 PM, and Sunday from 11 AM to 7 PM.

Also, check out the first Farm Rio store to find your perfect summer dress and explore three new sneaker boutiques.
