This could well be France’s next best restaurant! The new address from Jean-Baptiste Ascione, whom Top Chef fans will surely remember, has already been nominated for the TheFork Awards. And it’s easy to see why: Le Petit Brochant serves up generous French cuisine, seasonal ingredients and beautifully presented dishes, all in a stunning, light-filled space with warm wood panelling. Spoiler alert: this is bound to become your new go-to spot.
A Neighbourhood Favourite

A fully glazed façade, thrown open on sunny days, floods this deliciously indulgent spot with beautiful natural light. Settle in and let your eyes wander over the majestic décor—wood panelling, green marble and vintage finds—in a brasserie that fully embraces the Belle Époque aesthetic. With more than 120 seats, all-day service and a carefully curated playlist, Le Petit Brochant brings the spirit of the grand Parisian brasserie to life in a warm, welcoming atmosphere we can’t help but love.
Order with your eyes closed: honestly, everything here is delicious. Ingredients are carefully sourced, dated and prepared on-site, with no freezers, no microwaves and absolutely no shortcuts. Quality is the guiding principle behind Jean-Baptiste Ascione’s cooking. For weekday lunches, check the daily specials board for a fantastic set menu. From the à la carte selection, the standout parmesan baked egg is an immediate must-order, served with an exceptional pomme dauphine (a crispy, fluffy potato puff) for €26. Next up, the comforting beef onglet with pepper sauce never disappoints (€34), especially alongside île de Ré baby potatoes (€6). The Banka trout with green jus (€32) is just as much a feast for the eyes as it is for the palate. And don’t miss the delicious vegetable sides, particularly the glazed carrots in their own juices (€6)! For a sweet finish, desserts are plated right in front of you. Think indulgent chocolate mousse or île flottante, a classic French floating-island dessert topped with deliciously melting caramel: two irresistible treats whose flavours linger long after the last bite…
