A bar cocktails bar and dim sum in a palace suite

The barman chef Clément Emery at the cocktail bar and the bar interior

Flashback to the bewitching Shanghai of the 30s, inside this exclusive bar, nestled face to face with the Eiffel Tower. Passion red walls, low-key atmosphere, vintage cocktails, private terrace, a very special mysterious fragrance floats in this secret setting, that opens every night to a handful of happy few—maximum thirty persons.

An “In the mood for love” atmosphere

For those in the know, the Sóng bar, named after the dynasty, occupies a deluxe suite of the Shangri-La, entirely revamped in keeping with the In the mood for love spirit. Magical.

And to really complete the experience on a high note, chef barman Clément Emery has concocted unusual cocktails inspired by the era’s know-how, mixed with Hendrick’s Gin and Glenfiddich Whiskies (€35-65). In terms of nibbles, be sure to try their couture baos (€20 for 4 pieces) and the best dim sum of Paris, created by masters of the discipline on deck in the star-studded restaurant of the palace (€ 20 for 6 pieces).

The plus? A heated terrace where you can clink glasses while watching the Eiffel Tower, a privilege usually reserved for stars and visiting beautiful people.
