Bananamania: a food festival lands in the marais

Bananamania Test mocktails workshop and cooking class

Just like coconut milk, curry or coriander, the banana is part of these magical and very accessible foods offering a delicious touch of exoticism to our most simple dishes. Now is the moment to learn how to upgrade our Winter dinners… We dare you!

Good news: Saturday the 30th of November and Sunday the 1st of December, make a beeline for the superb 17th century private mansion of Cour du Marais, with its green facade, paved courtyard and old stones.

The dream team of the Association Interprofessionnelle de la Banane (AIB) does it again for the second edition of BananaMania, an incredible fiesta in a decor highlighting the sun-filled colours of this festive fruit.

Mocktail workshops and cooking courses with star chef pierre sang

Culinary workshops for the kids, mocktail courses with a mixologist or an educational exhibition, you will become unbeatable when it comes to the benefits and uses of one of the favourite fruits of the French—at the same time low in calories, highly digest and filled with nutritional assets. In short, flawless. Careful, places are limited. Sign up very quickly on the site www.banane.info.

But the hit of the show (drum rolls…), is the series of cuisine workshops animated by star chef Pierre-Sang Boyer, who will share his tips to enhance this not so banal fruit, featuring a thousand different varieties. Whip out your notepads: there will be recipes galore!

We like: getting a head start with a super recipe for a chicken burger with a banana-curry sauce, to be tested in order to show off on the big day in front of your favourite chef.

BananaMania, on the 30th of November and the 1st of December 2019 from 10am to 7pm. Free event.
