The village of Villerville is a small haven of paradise, the only one on the coast that was not hit by the bombing of World War II, it has preserved all its charm.
For local nibbles, the must-go stopover is at « Grenouille à la plage » a small restaurant nestled in the former casino, on the way there, walk by Cabaret Normand where the mythical « Singe en hiver » with Belmondo and Gabin was filmed then take a long sunset stroll on the beach at low tide--heading for Deauville-- or sip a spritz at the Hotel Bellevue. The sand, the seagulls, the sea, the sun setting, it does not get much more romantic than that!
