5 New Studios to Sculpt Your Bod

As fall kicks in, good resolutions are back after a summer filled with aperitifs. Even if motivation is high, the challenge is to keep it going all year long! We’ve tracked down brand-new gyms in Paris, so working out becomes less of a chore and more like the highlight of your day. From hot yoga to strength training, dance, and Pilates, we tested several and picked our 5 favorites offering unique classes in inspiring settings. Ready? Let’s get physical!

Studio Rituel

The place: Tucked away in a lovely courtyard in Saint-Germain-des-Prés, this ultra-confidential and devilishly chic studio is already a favorite for celebrities incognito – we spotted Catherine Deneuve, Alexandra Golovanoff, and Sandrine Kiberlain, to name a few. At Studio Rituel, you relax while working out in a luminous, minimalist space reminiscent of Scandinavian studios. Founder Verena Tremel, a former professional dancer trained in New York, shares her philosophy: self-care through pleasure, with complementary practices like yoga, Pilates, barre au sol, and Gyrotonic.

The class: We tested the famous Gyrotonic for the first time. Expect fluid, circular movements inspired by dance, synchronized with breathing. Using impressive yet unique machines in France, every posture is supported, ensuring full-body coordination. The result? A calm mind, a free spine, and muscles that definitely worked.

The plus: To extend the relaxation, Studio Rituel also offers expert massages and treatments: Kobido, deep tissue, lymphatic drainage, reflexology, and an Austrian sauna.

Studio Rituel, 20 rue des Grands Augustins, Paris 6th. Online booking. New client pass: 50 € for 2 group classes. 01 53 10 86 00.
Hours: Monday to Thursday 8am–9pm, Friday 8am–7pm, Saturday 8am–5pm, Sunday 8am–6pm.

La Fondation

The place: Head to Batignolles to discover La Fondation, a brand-new XXL hotel that opens its incredible sports & wellness hub to outsiders. With state-of-the-art machines, cardio boxes, class studios galore, a 25-meter pool, and even a climbing wall, there’s something for everyone.

The class: We went all in with a HIIT class. Expect cardio, strength, and abs with blocks of 30 to 45 seconds, 5-second breaks, 1-minute recovery… An intense workout that pushes your limits and promises a rock-solid body.

The plus: After the sweat, time for recovery! Sauna, hammam, tailor-made treatments, and pool access are included in certain offers. Add Typology and Ho Karan skincare, Lola James Harper products in the locker rooms, plus a coffee shop with fresh juices and lattes at the entrance – this is clearly the place to be this season.

La Fondation, 40 rue Legendre, Paris 17th. Online booking required 48h in advance. Day Pass Sport 150 € (includes group class + gym & wellness areas, pool included). Monthly membership 260 € (unlimited gym, wellness & classes). 01 76 21 25 80.
Hours: Monday to Friday 6:30am–10:30pm, Saturday & Sunday 8am–8pm.

Dancefloor - Boétie

The place: Grab your BFF and sign up for a fun dance class at Dancefloor Paris. Think hip hop, Pop Star Dance, Lyrical Jazz Broadway-style, Afro, contemporary, cabaret heels, or barre au sol. After the success of their 11th district studio, a new location just opened steps from the Champs-Élysées. Classes are bookable one-shot or monthly, always in a welcoming, judgment-free vibe.

The class: Here, there’s no competition – just fun and progress at your own pace. Over several weeks, the group builds a choreography together, always starting from the top to include latecomers. You switch positions in class, ask questions freely, and even join 2-hour masterclasses on cool themes. Upcoming? Thriller by Michael Jackson and Buttons by the Pussycat Dolls!

The plus: Beyond two dance studios, enjoy fully-equipped locker rooms with showers, beauty essentials (makeup remover, deodorant, straighteners), and even a detox sauna.

Dancefloor Paris Champs-Élysées, 87-89 rue La Boétie, Paris 8th. Kids & adult classes. Rates: credit system – 50 credits 105 € (5 classes), 100 credits 185 € (10 classes). A friendly community atmosphere sets it apart – members naturally motivate each other. The space is divided into machines & cardio, circuit training & stretching, and a glass-roofed legs zone with exposed stone walls.

The class: No group classes here, but personal coaching with a floor trainer to help you discover high-end equipment: Technogym cardio machines with Netflix screens, Watson machines from the UK, and Hip Thrust stations for glutes.

The plus: Premium services include training & shower towels, luxury locker rooms stocked with body wash, shampoo, conditioner, makeup remover, and hairdryers – so you can head straight to work or a date.

Not Yoga

The place: In the heart of the Marais, Not Yoga unfolds in a sleek 160 m² studio designed by architect Margaux Koren. Think modern, minimalist, stone-vaulted vibes with no mirrors – the goal is to refocus without distraction.

The class: Forget mantras and chakras. At Not Yoga, it’s all about sweating guilt-free in a 1-hour hot yoga session at 33 °C. Expect breathing exercises, three flows repeated at different rhythms, and a calming savasana to end. It’s physical, immersive, and beginner-friendly.

The plus: A beauty bar, cool brand collabs (Manduka, Refyld, Anatae, L’Infuseur), and a trendy coffee shop at the entrance. A hybrid spot between gym and wellness studio – you’ll leave exhausted but serene.

Studio Rowing Episod

studio Rowing episod Paris gym

The studio : You might not know it, but Episod is the only gym in Paris with a studio entirely dedicated to rowing. This season, the studio has undergone a makeover with a new bootcamp-inspired setup, offering a mix of floor and rowing machine exercises, all under new lighting effects and a fresh playlist.

The classes : In addition to the new design, Episod has created three new programs: Rowing Strong for strength, Rowing Blast for cardio, and Rowing Core for a rock-solid core. Having tested Rowing Blast, we can tell you it’s intense. We recommend not going in as a novice and having some cardio background before diving in.

The extra perk : Besides the top-notch dressing rooms (shoutout to the Dyson hair dryers), we loved the perfectly arranged co-working space on the ground floor and the small bar offering drinks and protein bars.

Studio Rowing Episod, 14 place Jacques Bonsergent, Paris 10th. Online reservation. €29 per session.

Burning Bar

Burning Bar Paris gym

The studio : Burning Bar is probably the chicest private Hot Pilates club in the capital. This sleek and intimate studio, equipped with the latest gear, is heated to 35 degrees by infrared heat for an immediate detox effect during classes that can be booked individually, even without a membership. The best part: the dim lighting and candles create an ultra-calm, healthy atmosphere, perfect for staying focused on your workout.

The classes : The schedule includes seven classes ranging from intense to gentle (Full Body on Fire, Power Fire Flow, Burning Flow, Pilates Therapy, etc.). Among our favorites: Guided Serenity (meditation) and Burning Core Shape, which is quite intense if you’re not used to it but really worth it for sculpting a steel body. Note: Members can access a gym, sauna, and hammam on weekends.

The extra perk : Burning Bar extends its wellness experience with signature massages: kobido, slimming, deep tissue, Swedish, or Californian (154 € for 60 minutes).
